To Friends of Parks and open spaces groups in Brighton & Hove
Hi,
We're holding one of our regular 'Your Space' conferences for local community groups on Tuesday 23 February in the evening (5-9pm, workshops from 6.45pm). One of the workshops 'Park life' is to look at parks and children & young people with a focus on the Playbuilder programme which is developing play spaces in 22 parks across the city. We also want to provide an opportunity to bring groups together to share their experiences and plans. We'd be delighted if you could attend. We're also looking for groups who could do a short 5-minute presentation about their park and projects they';ve done to involve or provide for the needs of children and young people.
Please let me know if you'd be able to contribute in this way or get in touch so we can discuss this further.
If another person in your group may be interested or able to come, I'd be grateful if you could forward this information on to them.
I've attached a programme for the evening for your information.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards

Free over 18's 'Parkour' taster sessions
Parkour is a physical training discipline that allows people to overcome any obstacle within their path, by adapting their body movements to fit with their surroundings.
It is a non-competitive, physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible. Skills involve jumping and climbing as well as other bespoke parkour manovers.
The object of parkour is to get from one place to another using only the human body and objects such as railings, steps and walls as aids to assist their movement and travel.
Parkour is often seen practiced in urban areas because of the diverse environment public structures provide.
If you would like to take part in a FREE parkour workshop, then contact Emma Greenough on 01273 852304 or
