The People of Whitehawk and Manor Farm challenge residents from other estates and neighbourhoods to take part in their Olympic contest to take place on their Festival Day on Saturday July 14th in East Brighton Park.

Come and enjoy the benefits of community singing. It’s fun, exciting, healthy, sociable, creative and will lift your spirits like nothing else ! No experience needed - everyone welcome, from absolute beginners to experienced crooners. We’ll sing popular songs from the 40’s to 00’s, old & new favourites, plus inspiring music from around the world. Help us to choose the songs we sing ! There’s a programme of tasters over the next few weeks in Whitehawk and Woodingdean, then a 10 week course starting on Jan 19th.

THT launch event helping Brighton’s LGBT community get healthy
On Saturday 18th June, HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) is inviting members of Brighton & Hove’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (LGBT) community to an event showcasing the range of services that can help improve their health and wellbeing. Taking place at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church between 11am and 4pm, ‘Healthy LGBT’ will provide information and support from local organisations on a range of health related issues, including mental health, nutrition and exercise.
Minutes of the 2nd meeting of the Whitehawk and Manor Farm Neighbourhood Forum and a copy of the Action Plan it is working to.
The next meeting will take place on Thursday 23rd June at 10.00 at the Valley Social Club.
